update of couponing
Well I went grocery shopping friday night and did much better on my couponing efforts. I checked out the sale ads and compared my coupons to them and all total saved 15.00 on my grocery bill.
Much, much better. I spent 52.00 on groceries and bought enough for two weeks. I usually spend 50.00 a week on groceries but really have enough here.
I tried alot of the tips I got here and it did really help. Thanks for the support. How did everyone else do??

Thats great.
I wish in Canada there was more couponing. So unless your living here in a major city with lots of competition, forget it. There's no way we have double coupon days, or enough coupons on food items when I go to save half on the grocreires like some do. I wish!!!!
Here I usually spend about $120 a week. that includes lots of veggies and fruits. A good grocery day for me is $75 thats with lots of dry goods already at home.

You did a great job with your coupons, I went Saturday evening and saved over $6 with coupons. That was on the low side for me, I usually average around $10 in savings with my coupons. I added up my savings so far though and we have saved around $30 using coupons this month, and we still have one more shopping trip next Saturday.

Great savings w/coupons everybody!
My best deals were on Silk soy milk..it's regularly $3.77 for 1/2 gallon.
It was on sale for $2.50, w the doubled .75 cent coupon, it came out to
just $1.00. I bought 4 different kinds & peach frozen yogurt to make smoothies with it.
The bogo sales are sometimes very good...the store brnd blocks of cheese were 1.20/ 8 oz, so even though no coupons were used it was a great price.
Sometimes the best use of coupons is w/ the bogo sales.

Congratulations on your shopping trip and coupon savings. I generally save anywhere from $7.00 to $18.00 a grocery trip and the store does not double coupons.

I went this morning and did much better, too. I remembered to use the coupons I had for items I was getting anyway, then I used coupons to get 5 free trial size cans of shaving gel and 1 free trial size Aquafresh.
Then I went to Walgreens and got Rimmel mascara, B1G1F, 2.99 was regular price and I had coupons for $1 off each. So I got 4 tubes for .50 each. That's all the makeup I wear, other than Chapstick and moisturizer, so I'm set for about a year now.
Of course, I'm badly over budget for April. But I'm going to be extremely strict next month and make up for it. I'm looking forward to coming in under budget for once, and I'm motivated enough to do it now, as well as stocked up on some things. Come on, May!
