Default Woohoo! My grocery trip today! :)

Okay, my DH is tired of hearing how proud I am of my shopping trip today, so I'm posting here. LOL I know you guys will understand! hehehe Here's what I got:

    Meal Deal -
    Bought Pork Fajitas for $5.54
    Got for FREE:
1lb frozen pack of red and yellow peppers (value - $2)
    8oz Kraft shredded cheese (value - $1.79)
Fresh Bratwurst Sausages (value - $2.89 but coupon gave me $3 off, yeah!)
Can of refried beans (value .68)
    Daisy sour cream (value .94)

    Cereal:
3 boxes off brand fruit loops - .99 each after $1 off coupon on all
Life Cereal (for DH, no coupon) 2.79
1 box Frosted Flakes, $1.49 after a $1 off coupon

Tons of Ramen noodles at 7/$1 and a few cup o' noodles for .35 each

Diapers - store brand 10.99 (We use disposables, but only at night for DS... we do cloth the rest of the time )

    Produce:
    3 lbs bananas 1.32
    2.28 lbs organic apples $2.94
    2.72 lbs organic pears $3.51
Fresh corn, 6 ears for $2

Butter flavored pancake syrup for DH 2.36 (I was SO proud of DH! He shocked me! He wanted Aunt Jemima but then out of the blue he said, "Hey, how many ounces are in that one? Oh, well this one is cheaper AND has more ounces... let's get it instead." SWOON! lol)

Drink mixes (off brand Crystal Light), 2 for $3 and one was $1.99
big bottle of Soy Sauce 2.24

Grand total after all coupons: $48.52

    Go me! LOL

I may actually go back and get a few more of the meal deals. I could have also gotten a 2 liter of Big Red free but we don't drink it, so I just didn't use that freebie coupon (don't know anyone who drinks it, either.... if they'd had 2 liters of the Diet stuff I probably would have gotten one of those!)

    I LOVE HEB!

Way to go...It really feels good to make a difference in the money that you spend. I know how you feel about the savings. When I save a the grocery I make a note of it in my check book and at the end of the month I transfer that into savings. I know you are tickled...
