Default What my DH told me about my want!!!

I told my dh that I would like to have a WEii game system. That since we were so rural and that it was so hilly that I could not get out and exercise because I have terrible allergies and asthma. I thought that the bowling and tennis games would be terrific ways to exercise for me. He looked me straight in the eyes and said NO its not in our budget. Hey...I'm the one that started the frugal household and he fought me tooth and nail at first. Here is a guy who once would go out and come home with 10 dvd's. not on sale mind-you but full price.

A lot of nursing homes and retirement centers sre using them with their residents as a form of exercize and entertainment. I hope you are able to get one. I want one more than my 11 year old son does.

think maybe he might have a secret plan to get it?

if not, then maybe compromising. Perhaps saving here to add to a fund for it...save this there to add to the fund.

Hey Barb! I say that maybe you guys should have a compromise? You think maybe he wants to get it for you secretly? I dont know but maybe you can budget for it saving so much each month to get it later on? Good Luck!

Maybe put away a few dollars here and there without him knowing and then when you have enough for a Wii, give it to him, and tell him to head to the store and get it for you!

In the meantime, have you tried excersise DVDs? I bought a really great Yoga DVD that helped me out a lot before I got pregnant. I bet you could find cheap ones on Ebay or overstock.

I agree with itsahumanzoo...set aside $ as you can (that he doesn't know about). If it turns out he got one...you've got some extra $ saved. If he didn't, no sweat...you can go get it.

I've also gotten videos and DVDs from the library...and would switch them out often so I wouldn't get bored. There's everything from yoga to aerobics to line dancing... Have fun!

Wow. But the Wii isn't great for aerobics. My brother-in-law got one when they first came out and I've done the bowling, tennis, and Red Steel (game) and all I got was a flare up of my tendonitis. =/ Although the bowling is incredibly fun.
