Default They are finally catching on!

I am so proud of my DS and DH. They finally "get" this frugal living and sticking to a budget. Here's what's happened to make me so very proud

    1. Last nite DH and I had "date" nite and we went to a restaurant for a frien'd BD party. Instead of DH ordering the expensive entree he ordered a resonable entree with 2 sides I had something same price as his) and we split an appetizer. BD Cake was given to all so we only spent 25.00 tip included...usually it's 50.00 or more.

    2. DS wanted to go to the bank yesterday and "deposit" his allowance...WHOA!! that's a first....he usually wants to go to Wal-Mart.

    3. DH decided that he and DS would stay home so I could grocery shop in peace today. I LOVED it!! I had plenty of uninterrupted time to shop, go thru coupons, ad match and price compare. I did not have anyone throing unnecessary items in the cart of begging to have something and because of that I saved 38.00 on groceries today. The cashier and the poeple behind me in the checkout line were SO MAD!

DH could not believe all the groceries I bought and I did not go over our 2 week grocery budget. I now have a very well stocked pantry and freezers; all I can anticipate having to buy until next payday is milk and bread.

I really had a great time shopping....I never liked grocery shopping before but it was sort of healing...

I told DH that the people in line were aggravated with me and he said that's just too bad...that we were saving money and they can just get over it. Now that made me so proud!

I'm one happy camper right now.

Sounds like everyone is on the frugal bandwagon at your home. YEAH!!

You are doing great! Don't worry about those people in line that are upset because they have to wait. If they were smart, they would be trying to save money too!
