Is this a good deal on chicken tenders?
Meijer is having a sale in their flyer BOGO Chicken tenders, frozen 64 oz for 14.99, but you would get one free, so that's 15 bucks for 8lbs of chicken tenders....Is this a good buy? I don't normally buy frozen meats, so I'm unsure. But that's the only store I'm going to today, since all the stuff we get and need is in the flyer for hella good prices and it's also like 30 miles away.

I think that is a pretty good deal. I am happy to get them at $2 per pound or less.

Since you are going to Meijer: Whole roasters are $0.99 cents per pound.
Compare that to $1.87 per pound for chicken tenders.

Yeah, I know, I was going to get a couple of the roasters as well. And the legs. I've got a whole list of crap to get from the sale ad that are better priced than Kroger. That's the only reason I'm travelling so far to grocery shop, I think it would be well worth it. I've added up the prices of everything, how many I would get and how many lbs of what I would get in meats and fruits. I am up to 109 for everything except wet dog food because I don't know how many cans I will get, the whole roasters because I don't know their weights and the ham because I don't know how big they are. Well, I guess it's 124 if you count the chicken tenders. But who knows, I might forego the tenders and stick to the roasters. I can use those in so many more things than the tenders, like chicken n dumplings, soups, roasted whole, blah blah blah.

A good deal here is when Price Chopper has the 36oz Fast Fixin' Chicken Tenders for $3.99, so $15 128oz would be a little better deal.

Meijer is a midwestern thing. I know they have it in Michigan, but that's not exactly NY...lol I'd like one of those Price Choppers, I've seen good things on here about them. I didn't mean I didn't know what it was, I meant where....Sorry

Anything less than $2.00 a pound is a "stock up price" for me on the boneless, skinless chicken tenders. Are you talking about the frozen, uncooked, not breaded kind? That is what I buy.

The not breaded kind....The other is too fattening and has too much sodium. Not to mention 50 million things I can't pronounce...lol

We have Meijer here too. I rarely shop there because there are so many things i can get cheaper elsewhere. It is nice to be able to go there when they have a good sale though.
