Food coupons in paper

Has anyone noticed latley that there are a ton of H&B cuopons that I don't really need and not many food coupons.

I thought there used to be more in paper.

i thought i was just not paying as close attention as i used to and figured i needed to tighten my belts but i thought they had cut alot of them out!

I agree! Last Sunday was just a little better, with the Kellogg's coupon insert. I bought an extra paper. I thought with back to school, we would see more coupons, like peanut butter, juice boxes, pudding cups, etc. I haven't had a peanut butter coupon for months! None for ice cream lately, either. I have emailed a few food manufacturers lately, and they sent me coupons. If you use Honeysuckle White turkey products (ground turkey or fresh turkey parts), send an email to honeysucklewhite.com and request some coupons. They will mail you coupons (2-$1/1, and 2- .50/1) you may send an email to them every four months, requesting more coupons. They send them out in just a few days.

ya, I've noticed too. Wonder what's up with that. Mostly I use home made cleaners, so I just don't use many of the H&B coupons.

I've noticed it here too. My coupon file is getting thinner by the month. And the stores here won't accept computer printed coupons, so it doesn't leave much.

Same here. I use generics for H&B kind of stuff usually, and am impatiently waiting to see some food coupons that I can actually use. After clearing out expired ones, my coupon holder is almost empty.

I have sections in my coupon binder with no coupons in them. I used to find coupons for Birds-eye and Green Giant frozen vegetables, Dole frozen fruit, Minute Maid or other name brand orange juice, etc. I hope to see them again someday...

I buy a lot of generic brand foods and H&B. I have noticed less food coupons though....

I've noticed that too! I was hoping that they would start picking up since BTS is starting! One nice thing about our local good coupon paper is that they usually print the total dollar amount of coupons on the outside (I will usually buy 2 papers when the total is over $140!).

I think I better start contacting companies again- sometimes you get the best coupons from them!

BTW- anyone else notice that Tide dropped there coupons down to .35 cents(That is the only detergent that works for us)- I hate that they keep raising the prices on these things and lowering their coupon values (at least we still have double coupons!).

I don't even notice many in the magazines, like Woman's Day, and they used to have tons of food coupons!

I think it's a greedy world, and they just aren't giving us bargains anymore.

Even at work, most of the food coupons in the machines are snack stuff, or the expensive brands, and only small amounts off. It's getting ridiculous!

This Sunday there should be coupons for Skippy peanut butter, Ragu, banquet chicken, helman's mayo, popcorn, chef boy r dee, knorr sides, pillsbury, and more.

That doesn't look too bad. I just stopped buying the paper for a while. I wasn't even making my $2 back and we usually don't read it anyway. It really hasn't been that long either since there were actually a decent amount of useful food coupons in the papers

I hadn't noticed. I don't buy much processed food which is what the food coupons are usually for. I look anyway. I do clip coupons for various types of soaps, cleaning supplies an paper/plastic products -- then when I get to the store I do the math and check out the cheapest way to go. Sometimes I use the coupons -- sometimes not. There are a few coupons for produce, herbal tea or dairy so I look for those as well. Sometimes there are coupons for things like restaurant meals, oil changes, etc. I always clip those.

My coupon organizer has gotten very thin. But I think it's because I just don't buy "coupon foods." I live in an area where coupons are only redeemed for face value -- no doubling or trippling, so the savings often isn't that good anyway.

I do look at the coupon books when I go to the health food store. Sometimes I find some good deals there.
