Oh that is a good one

One more question.... can I use more than one store coupon to avoid the limits or should I just make multiple trips? For example, I have two coupons for mandarin oranges for 39c with a limit of 4. Can I use both coupons and get 8 all in one trip? I'm thinking probably not.

That's okay. I'm going to hit the Walgreen's on the other side of town to see if they have that kiddie card table & chairs. Ours didn't have it at all. I'm thinking that's something they probably only got one or two of in stock period.

you know... the limits dont really apply. what i mean is that the register doesnt catch them. if your mandarin oranges coupons says limit four and you take six to the register, when the cashier scans the coupon, it will take off the appropriate amount so that all six cans ring for 39 cents. just some insider info

and at the end of their shift, the cashiers do not need to turn in the walgreens coupons, they get trashed, so you can actually ask for them back but you could also just clip new ones. its all the same. you could also just get the cashier to do separate transactions (ring you up separately) if he or she gives you a hard time about not sticking to the limits. - i always stock up when they have their ten cent deals and i always get way beyond what their limit is and its never been a problem.

you can call the store ahead of time and ask the manager. walgreens ad's start on sunday's but if theres a special item that they dont normally carry (like the kiddie cart, table) then they get it on their truck day. truck days are days that their 18 wheelers come in with their merchandise. you can ask anyone on the floor when truck comes in, most likey that'll be your best bet for finding the specialty item.

OH I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING.

brushclean (this is walgreen's system. other stores dont use this system)
    b-1
    r-2
    u-3
    s-4
    h-5
    c-6
    l-7
    e-8
    a-9
    n-0

you can actually tell what an item cost the store, and its written write out in plain sight. they call the system brushclean. each letter stands for a number. next time youre in a store, check out the mylars (the little rectangle of paper with the price that stuck on the shelf). its got a letter combo that managers use to know how much an item actually cost the store, that why when they do in store promos they know how low they can price stuff.

heres an example.. this mouthwash cost the store UAH which translates into 3.59 (i always like knowing what the store paid for it and what i paid for it)

    thought i would share that.

That is very interesting! I'm new this whole shopping at the drug store thing. I've always thought of drug stores as right up there with Convenience stores/gas stations when it comes to prices. Things have changed!
