    HOw do you dehydrate?

I will freeze for crisps, pies etc. I still ave some fromlast year..lol. I had a bumper crop, this year the tree produced 4 apples, yes, a whole 4!

    Thankfully some one offered.

There is a neighbor with beautiful crab apples, not sure how they are or what to do with them, but they are so red and just falling, I'm tempted to ask for them.

If you have a mandolin, you can slice the apples super thin, lay them out on cookie sheets, and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 2 hours. Then sprinkle them with a light dusting of powdered sugar. They make heavenly apple chips!

Nice!! We got a couple of bags from my parents' apple trees. The deer got most of them though.

What is your recipe for Apple Butter?

I forgot to mention that I've heard of people making pickled crab apples too. I'm not sure how they taste but I googled it and they sound good. The recipes sound good. If I can find any crab apples I might make some of those.. Maybe you could try googling recipes for crab apples to come up with some other good ideas. Oops, it won't let me post any links. Try googling recipe for pickled crab apples and you get all kinds of recipes.

There's a great recipe for Apple Streusel Muffins from Vegetarian Times. I made them a few weeks ago when my sil and her kids were coming for a visit. my neice and nephews are picky, but between the 3 of them, ds, dh, sil and me...they went extremely fast. The recipe is on their website but if you'd like, I can post it here as well.
