WinCo Grocery Store ?

I have one of these grocery stores opening up by where I live. I have never heard of it, should I be excited or not? Do they take coupons and/or have great prices? Tell me tell me! Thanks!

We have Winco where I live in California. They are the cheapest store around.
They have a lot of bulk foods that are less expensive and help save on packaging that goes in the landfill too.

They do take coupons, but do not take credit cards....only ATM, checks and cash. When they open they usually have a lot of coupons that they mail out. By using the coupons, you can check out the store and decide if you like it. \

It's a pack your own grocery store too.

Where in California? I live in the LA area and am always on the lookout for cheaper grocery stores. Thanks for the heads up!

One opened up not too far from me recently.

They do have good prices..really good prices on most items.

I do not like their meats,deli or in store bakery though.

I also do not care to bag my own groceries...so i rarely go there unless i am by myself and I am only getting a few things.

Love them! They are the cheapest grocery store in my town. The bulk goods is awesome. They have bulk for just about anything you can think of being in bulk. Time and time again I have compared their prices with other grocery stores in town and they are always cheaper, even on other places sale items. My only beef with them is that their fruits tend to ripen VERY quickly, so only buy what you can eat in the next couple of days.

The food prices are great, but they tend to overprice the non-food items, so keep an eye on that.

Their store brand products are really good too.

The thing I don't like about them is they don't normally do ads or coupons at all. So it's kind of a PITA. The only way you'll know if they've got a better deal than another store's sale price is to actually go there.
