Default I don't use many products that have coupons

so I end up with a lot left over. I've looked at the coupon train, but there's very few coupons I'd use, and almost everyone else would too as they're staples.

What I've done in the past is give the extras to a military base in Turkey, but if someone has something they desparately need coupons for, I'm willing to look. The military coupon thing is involved, they want you to tally up the $, post it to a website, separate the nonfoods and food, and send them that way. Then the fed. rules changed, and now you have to fill out a customs form to sent a manila envelope full of coupons.

I'm all for supporting the troops, but doing all of that every week got to be a bit much.

    Ideas? Suggestions? Requests?

I need input here, I have 75% of the coupons that come in the Sunday paper left over every week, and I'm currently doing 1 envelope a month to Turkey, so they're around most of the month.

If you have an abused women's shelter nearby, they LOVE coupons! Same for the children's shelters.

How about sending your expired coupons to a different place?
This is the first I have heard of coupons needing to be separated by foods/non foods.
Most overseas commissaries I have been to simply have a box or basket sitting out with coupons near the entrance, where military shoppers can look for coupons to use on their shopping trip.

...Let me know if you would like some addresses.

You can use a 'shorter' green customs form for envelopes that are under a certain weight too.

    Smile Thanks!

I appreciate the info. I'll get my act together and send the coupons off.
