Default I want to save $800

I want to save $800.00 by October 31st. After calculating the income coming in & bills to be paid from 10-10/10-31, I really, really really feel I can do it.
So I am totally up for the challenge. Wish me LUCK.

You can do it! We saved 1200 in a month to prepay our fuel. It was darn rough but anything is possible!

You can do this. I've always found it easier to save when I have a set savings goal as opposed to just trying to save money this month. When I'm just trying to save money I tend to go back and forth with the amount that I'm setting aside and things change and oh I need this and before I know it I've spent half of what I had originally put aside in savings. So, $800 is alot but if you really want it, I know you can do it

Yep, you can do it! Just be sure to have a realistic plan of what you're going to cut back on to do it! And make sure the money you save, stays in savings!

Thanks guys for the support. I'm not saving for anything in particular, just want my savings to grow. I currently have nothing in savings & only $1700. in EF for a family of 4. We should be able to save each month, but we always seem to squirm it away so easily, on stuff we don't need & eating out. Sept/Oct turned out to be great babysitting months, I should be getting about $500 extra, which I'm going to act like I don't have. Out of the $1700 in EF, $900 of it I saved in about 2 months. I wasn't even trying to save as hard as I am now.

$1200 for fuel oil, I sure hope that's enough to last you all year long!

As for saving $800 by 10/31, believe me YOU CAN DO IT! I saved $1200 in a month and found it quite the challenge but I loved every minute of it.

It was a prepay for our gas through the winter. I thought their estimate was high since we had a summer fill. However we did have a really mild winter for WI last winter so she is likely right with the 751 gallons pre-paid.
