Do you add water to 100% juice?
If so, for what reason?
I add it to my ds's apple juice and white grape juice all the time to make the juice stretch futher. Some of my friends water their kids' juice down simply because they don't want their kids drinking the juice full-strength.

Yes I do not only to stretch it but also to cut the taste down a wee bit. I always find 100% juice (except orange juice) is quite strong.

I water Tyler's because the Dr. and WIC say he drinks too much juice.

Yes--for dss I add almost 50% water, he's ADD and the last thing he needs is all the extra sugar-even natural sugars-in his body. He doesn't even notice it.

Yes, but don't tell the family!

Yes, I do. Our family doctor and dentist both asked if I did this, as well.
They feel that it is better to water it down a bit because it reduces the sugar content....even natural sugars can cause cavities and fill children up so they do not have room for meals.
I also restrict how much juice and milk they drink, because it does affect my dks appetities. I serve fruits and veggies at all meals, and raw veggies are always available as a snack...so I do not worry about nutrients and vitamins.
I am more concerned about keeping them cavity free! So far it is working!

I do...even though we get it free bec/ of WIC. Its not a $ saving issue for us. WE have noticed they seem to taste to strong without watering down. I only add about 1/4 water to the 2 quart pitcher. So its not very diluted.

Always- with any juice- 100% or the cheap frozen concentrates at 50 cents a container.. Yes, I do it to save money, but I also find with especially apple juice, if I don't water it down, ds gets wicked diaper rash. Plus, ds absolutely will not drink plain water, so I know he's getting a 1/2 cup of water with every juice I five him.

I dilute it for the 2 younger ones because full strength gives them diaherra (SP). I do about 50/50 and sometimes they
still get sick

When I buy juice, it gets diluted. My youngest prefers it that way, and the older ones don't know I do it
They don't need the extra sugar, plus it makes it last longer.
