Walmart said I had too many coupons

I have recaptured my love of coupon clipping and using them on items we actually use. Between the weekend papers I get some good coupons. I shop once a month with coupons at the SuperWalmart - since they claim low prices always, I want to make them lower. Last couple months they have amounted to $50+ with many $1 off & freebies.

This time a manager was called over because the register locked up. She told me that I had too many coupons.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Did they let you use them? Or did they say you had to come back? Just curious. I think they should honor them. Not everyone shops frequently.

If you have more than I think 30 coupons it needs a managers approval.
I have had it happen many times and I have been able to use all of my coupons. The manager comes over and approves it.

Happens all of the time here. I have had it happen at several different grocery stores, including Wal-Mart. They just come, turn a key, punch a few buttons and scan the remainder of the coupons.

I was allowed to use all the coupons but the attitude that came with the turn of the key makes me want to make sure she is working next time I shop!

one thing i have noticed with walmart is you have to watch when they scan them. sometimes teh register wants a verification of the coupon amount which just requires that they hit enter, but meanwhile they have tried to scan 3 other coupons that didn't register. you have to make sure they scan those coupons.
