    Default Getting my wad tight!

I started to read the TWG!!!! I love it! At first I thought it would take forever, but it is a quick read. I have the complete guide so it is over 900 pages long but in one day I am done about 100 pages! My hubby says I am reading the phone book! LOL!

I love how it is written!

I love love this book and have read the entire 900 page tome. I skipped most of the mortgage, house-y kind of stuff since it's not relevant to me, but I love reading the readers' tips the most.

I love this book, and even though it's so long it reads fast and you can always go back to the articles that strike your interest.

I get mine from the library. I have read Vol 1 and 3, and last night I started Vol 2. I wish they had the complete guide, but I have really enjoyed reading these. Such great ideas. And I love how she breaks everything down!

I have the first book and then I subscribed to her newsletter and got all those until she stopped writing them. I have all those newsletters in a binder.

I LOVE how this post said getting my wad tight!

I have the TWG is every form too
I miss the annual Christmas letter that she retired.

In the 3 volumes, I went through and made marker pages for my favorite article like the TW Fridge, pantry items, recipes.... things like that.

I sort of miss the days when I was TWG obcessed.
Our income grew over the years, and thats a blessing for sure.
But there is something very sweet about having a lower income and racking up savings still ya know?

I may not do everything in the book but there sure are some good tips in there. My hubby makes decent money, our problem (besides him being off for 6 months ) is that we have no idea where is money was going, and we spent on stuff we did not need. THe book inspires me to live more simply!

I *love* it! Never thought about doing that. That will be my New Years resolution. Except I'm missing volume 2. Need to scrounge up another copy.

I LOVE this book! I like the way it is written in little articles. I ordered the complete one from Amazon last year, I decided it was book I wanted to own, not borrow. It is still in my book basket in the living room, it's never been put away!

I love the TWG too! I first read it about 6 years ago, when we decided to go to one income and homeschool. I finally bought my own copy from Amazon's used book z-shops, after reading the library copies a couple of times. I think I paid less than a dollar each, plus a couple of buck shipping.

Some of the actual budget numbers are outdated now--prices have gone up so much--but the basic principles are just the best guide for making do. And, it's so much better for the planet and environment to reuse and recycle things for new uses. Mostly, I think what I took away from it, was how much of a difference planning makes in sticking to a budget. I learned so much from those books, and I still read them whenever I need a boost to get back on track.
