Well, I guess it's possible? We aren't below the poverty level & I was given the ok - but I would assume if one made mucho $$, it may be different - The girl on the phone explained it to me as being "like angel food" (referring to angel food ministries)

either way, I'm happy I found it

WTG! It is so good to know that all the items they have there are being put to good use instead of being tossed in the trash. And your $8 cost keeps the program running smoothly.

    What a fantastic find.

I am amazed at how much stuff you fit into 2 bags!!!

Give us the list next time you go....

I don't know if I could do this, I mean isn't this type of program for people extremely down and out? I don't think if you have internet access, cable, cell phones, etc. you should be taking from the food banks. I really need to cut down my grocery bill but things aren't that bad.

I think that is a wonderful find.

Those aren't always for programs for the destitute. They are designed for those interested. It may have initially started for the food bank recipients but if it isn't being used, then they open the doors to the next group.

I'm currently getting involved with a coop. It was initially set up for the very low income, but have since realized, by opening the doors to more, every one is getting a better deal for less, helping the less fortunate ones even more. They now offer it for 50% less because of the volume.

The more who participate usually in these programs the more the program is able to buy for. Especially those that charge a minimum fee like this one and Angelfood Ministries.
