This is very interesting. It's about 20 minutes long. One statistic from it is of all the "stuff" people in the US buy, only 1% is kept 6 months later, the rest has already left the house as trash.

I was watching this and thinking to myself that I need to do more. I know that I waist a lot less then the average consumer and I keep way more then just 1%. Heck for the most part what comes in came from a resale store and if and when it goes out it goes back to a resale store. I am pretty good at reuseing things but I have a long way to go to being as good as I want to be.

Interesting...if the firewalls don't block it at school, I may show this to my students.

That was a very interesting perspective on the big picture. I will be sharing it with others.

Wow! It really puts things in prespective doesn't it. I had already made a promise to myself to simplify and not just buy, buy, buy in the new year, but now I am really motivated to do so.

Having already decided to go more anti-consumer this year, and more green, this little show did me a worldd of good. THANKS for posting it. I am off to read more about Annie right now.

This was an excellent video and it really makes me want to do more. I already recycle, I already repurpose things, I already buy less/used. There are other things I can do though. I am going to pass this along to family and friends

This was a very interesting, eye opening video. I think this would be a great video to show at the middle school and high school video.
