Default Hey! GOOD DEAL AT WALMART!

I went to Wallyworld to get some stuff (fruit for family/ office supplies for me to get w/my Christmas visas...) and they had bananas for 30 cents/lb! I was sooo excited that I stocked up (so that I can make banana bread & freeze all loaves but 1!!). Just had to share!!!! I'm excited! I have yet to see bananas anywhere that cheap ever in the oklahoma city area! yahoo!

I just came back from Wallyworld and they are still .39 a lb. here.

Enjoy your savings and banana bread!

I went to Target on the 26th and they had Bananas for 10c per lb. I was amazed and picked up 3lbs, about all we can eat before they go bad.

Wow. Bananas are always a steady $.29/lb here. This is not a bragging point, just interesting to note how much price differs by region. I wonder what produce I'm paying a lot more for than some of you in other regions.

Bananas run 59 cents a pound here too. Cheapest I can get them is 3 pounds for $1 at sams club, but lately when I have been in Sams their bananas are already over ripe and only good for bread.

Wow thats great I did get some on sale at Kroger's last week for .29 and Walmart had them .44 . Well when I went shopping today they had them the highest they ever had in this area at .59 a pound I was shocked. I am sure your banana bread will be great. We are making up batches tonight to freeze of the bananas I got last week.

.79 here. I can't remember them being any lower and I buy them every week. Costco is a good deal but we can't eat 3lbs before they go bad.

that is great news - and I enjoy seeing the price differences per region - it really is interesting!

I usually get them from Kroger for .29/lb, this price is for the "red taped" bananas (really ripe) and I make banana bread or slice them for the dehydrator - the only one that eats a banana in it's regular form is hubby, and he's still not home ~ I'll have a hard time paying full price again when he gets home

You got a great deal! They are always .50 cents a lb. here. I don't think I have seen them below that.

I'm so envious...regular price is $1.19 at one store, $1.29 at the other. I have seen them as low as $.50 for overripe.
