    Default The Bookstore Motherlode~

Ahhhh, my favorite bookstore, Book Depot is a huge warehouse of close-outs. On a regular day prices are very low - example recent hardcovers for $8.99. But their Boxing Day sale was 50% off everything in the store.

I got a ton of books I haven't read and only spent $67:

    5 Nora Roberts hardcovers
    1 Karen Robards paperback
    3 big scrapbooking how-tos
    2 kids craft how-tos
1 book of Jewels' poetry for my daughter
7 hardcover novels that just sounded good
    1 James Patterson
3 gift-type journals to give throughout the year
    2 cookbooks
    1 decorating book
    3 Alice Hoffman hardcovers
    1 Patricia Cornwall hardcover

I am a total bookworm, and I like to keep books by favorite authors. I prefer that to going to the library for certain books. I have a room filled with shelves for all my books!

Hooray! Any other bibliophile here will be cheering with me!

We LOVE books here! What an awesome deal you found!!!

When we build our log home, we plan on finding a whole bunch of book cases at antique stores, junk stores, etc....and placing them randomly about the house. Currently all of our books are being stored in boxes in the garage

Sounds like my dream! I got some great books for Christmas and have run out of room on my bookshelves. Guess I'll have to buy some more shelves =)!

I totally love books. We have books running out of our ears here. I find them at used book stores, library sales and thrift stores. My favorite thrift store sells them for 25 cents for paperback and 50 cents for hardback. If there is a book I really want and can't find at my favorite places I'll hunt it down on half.ebay.com. I refuse to pay full price for any book.

    Thumbs up

Yay, Karen, how awesome! I *love* books. There's nothing better than curling up with a good read, especially this time of year.
