Re-Ordered the Gazette
Okay, so many years ago, I had all 3 of the Gazettes. Then, I decided I was done with them and I sold them. A few years later, I really missed them, so I asked for and received for Christmas, The Complete Tightwad Gazette. A few years later, you guessed it, I decided I was done with it and sold it.
Fast forward to today. I really miss my Gazette and have just re-ordered it from Barnes and Noble. It's being sent to the store and I'll be picking it up with some other books that I have on hold, and will be getting them all for free with my Christmas gift cards.
If anyone sees me trying to sell my Gazette again...PLEASE STOP ME!

LOL will do!
I was actually just thinking about mine the other night. I can't find them anywhere! I want to say that I lent them to my mother but... I'm pretty sure she didn't take them and now I have no idea where they are. I am on the hunt.marie/andrea

Don't sell that reference book, you might want to reference something 2 years from now and it will be gone

I'm so thrilled to see people love that book. I was getting tired of constantly hearing how strict it was LOL

toile, my feeling is, like with anything in life, it is what you make of it. Do I follow everything she says? No, do I follow a lot? Yes, but adapted to fit my families lifestyle. She never says, "If you don't do your frugality exactly like I do mine, you aren't doing it right." I've heard the complaints as well. I just brush them off.

I just ordered the CTG this afternoon. Considering that the Dollar is weaker than the Euro I got a good deal including shipping to Holland. I do have to wait about 3 weeks though. I wasn't going to pay extra for priority mail(I'm too frugal for that).

The Complete is a compendium of the other three books. Basically, it's three books in one. That way, you have them all at your fingertips.

I have done this also Amy. But the last time I bought it I vowed never to let it go again. If nothingelse it reminds you that there is always more you could be doing in the way of thrift.

you know, I think it's about time I allowed myself to buy some books on ebay
I've read the TWG2 a dozen times now - it's the only one of the 3 available at the library - but I've still not read number 1 or 3.
I didn't know there was a "complete" TWG - but I have to wonder, is it leaving anything out? Is it like the tighwad version of reader's digest condensed novels??
so, it's official - I'm on the hunt for all 3
((I'm sure someone else would like to read our library's only copy of #2))
