Day 2 of my frugal New Year.

I am trying to be better with my money. To really think before I spend. I am trying to find free entertainment. Last night, my family played a board game. It was very nice.

Before the New Year, I tried to do a little planning. I am happy to say I had already bought birthday gifts for Jan. & Feb. So, that should help keep some costs down. I also tried to stock up on a couple of things.

Next, no credit cards. It's a bad habit and people treat it like they had money in their bank account. I can't believe the interest rate on those cards!
I have three credit cards that I am going to work on paying off over the next few months.

Next paycheque, I put some money in my emergency fund and vacation fund!

Sounds like you are off to a great start!!

I slipped up and stopped at McDonald's for breakfast (i was running late to work), but I'm sitting here at work and eating a lean cuisine meal for lunch. I also have chicken and rice cooking in the Crockpot for dinner tonight.

We plan to fully fund our emergency fund Friday with my b/f's overtime and bonus on this check....so that's a plus!
