We haven't turned on the heat!
Have pulled hamburger from deep freezer for supper, no shopping.
For lunch we'll have homemade ham and bean soup.

It will be a frugal day for me. Packed my DH lunch this morning, did 2 load of laundry and hung them on the drying racks, dinner will be hm chicken rice soup and hm bread. I also cut 2 pairs of old pants apart and made a purse for my oldest granddaughter for Christmas 2008...................Lori

It's still early, but so far, I've
- packed my daughter's school lunch, and prepared a sandwich for my kindergartener's lunch
- walked my kids to school rather than driving
- made a grocery list
- turned down the heat (last month's bill was $200!)

I've been doing laundry, all on cold, hanging some things to dry and gathering the rest into a single load for the dryer.
Ironed clothes...free entertainment? LOL!
It's my birthday so my mom brought me lunch (yay) and my in-laws are having us over for dinner. So it's a pretty frugal food day!
Oh, and I organized DH's electronic/charger pile (his favorite spot for charging ipods, cameras, etc) that was on the bedroom floor, simply by relocating a small occasional table that I had in another room (not being used) to the spot where he charges everything and leaves his camera case. Now it's all up off the floor and looks much nicer. And it didn't cost me anything to "organize".

1.) Cut down on meat eaten today and ate homemade for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast coffee and hm muffins, lunch pork and beans, apple and hm cookes.
2.) Went grocery shopping with a list and only got the items on the list versus wandering the aisles picking things in a willy-nilly fashion.
3.) Planned all of my running around (post office, grocery etc) into one trip to save on gas.
4.) Unplugged all appliances/lights which are not being used at this time.Baby Step #1 Done!

All meals from home today. Dh is coming home on his lunch break so I will fix him something.
Opened an ING account with Christmas gift money that I just didn't want to spend on anything. Free $100 and it will earn interest. We haven't had a savings acct in years! woohoo!
DH will make $80 selling an old cell phone. Thats going into savings, too.
Shipped some ebay and half.com sales. Money is still in paypal and will get
transferred to new savings.
Calling electric co to see if they can give me good tips on finding CF lightbulbs.
Looking for more stuff to sell, I'm ready to get my baby EF funded!

We made sandwiches for lunch, today, although coming back from taking DD17 to the doctor and passing all those fast food places made me want to pull through the drive thru. I am cooking supper, also. DH and the DDs had fast food last night because of my migraine and none of them being willing to cook LOL!
