Seems like the New Year is going to ROCK!
I've paid ALL the monthly bills, money set aside for bus passes. There is still $300 in my account for incidentals. EF is at $800 and dh gets paid today!(I think), so there should be a fully funded EF and a snowball payment to boot!
Now to realign my thinking with a weekly pay for him. I'm also considering changing my childcare to weekly pay structure as well, that way we can have a continuous flow of income and pay everything as it comes in, not file to be paid..hmmm.
I wonder.

Congratulations! I'm being optimistic about 2008 too. DH has a raise in pay, a decrease in income tax, and a retroactive pay check coming. Plus the Canadian government has reduced the GST (goods and services tax).

OH yeah I forgot about the income tax and GST.
I know I"ll be paying this year, that's ok. It means I actually earned money this year..lol. But it shouldn't be that much.
The outlook is soooo good though! I can feel it!

I am praying that this year will be better than last year. Last year was probably the worst of my life thus far.
Here's to you! and here's to a wonderful 2008 too!~~ Missy ~~

Hmm.. dh didn't have a deposit today. I'm going to need to get a print out and see what is going on..lol. He says they are changing the day he's paid to Wed/thurs, so it might mean next week instead. Good think I set aside for the EF because if he doesn't get paid until the next week, we'd miss the mortgage payment. LOL
We're fine though. It's just figuring out a new pay structure, going from every second Friday to every Wed/THurs. It would have been nice for him to fill me in completely. Men.
Oh well, we're fine .

Don't you love it when they do that, lol
It sounds like you guys are off to a great start though. This is the first year I'm actually optimistic financially. I think attitude makes a BIG difference.
