frugal skiing
Yes, I know it's an oxymoron. There is finally snow in the mountains and the kids and I can't resist the slopes.
I'm looking for ways to make this expensive passtime a little more affordable. I'm getting the gear I can find secondhand (just needed a few items because the kids grew), looking for discount lift tickets, and plan on bringing our own lunch. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Well I know that here in Northern California a lot of the local grocery stores have discount lift tickets......and sometimes specials when you spend so much money on groceries.....check the website for the place you want to go and see if they are running anything....
Check with any other skiers you know and see if anyone has season passes they would like to let you use on a weekend they aren't going.
