I managed to lower my cable/internet

So after 3 months of trouble with our cable tv we decided to switch to Direct. For 12 months we will msave $20 a month on that bill. After that it will cost the same as our cable did, but we get more channels so it is still a deal.

We had the tv and internet both through the cable cause dh uses it for work. I called to cancel my tv and told them that if they could not work on lowering my internet bill that I would switch it also. It was going to go up 20 dollars a month if we didnt have tv with them. Well the guy lowered it to 36 dollars a month and that includes limited basic cable.

So our tv/interent went from 105 dollars together to $76 together! Its not much but it buys diapers,lol

That is wonderful! It really adds up over a year.

I switched last year to having phone, cable and internet all through my local cable company. That dropped my expenses more than $200 a month, since all my family lives in the States and my phone bills were crazy. Talk about having my cake and eating it too!

I switched too - probably to the same place as you daisygirl (rogers). What a difference it makes in the budget! And no wondering how much the long distance will be because it is unlimited!
