~We use natural gas for our heat, water heater and for cooking. It was $146 this month. We usually have only two months as high as that.~

43.95
We use gas to heat the hot water, for the stove, and the dryer. I've been air drying clothes, using the crock pot a little more, turned down the water heater, and am showering at the YMCA more. But to be honest, I can't tell if I'm making much of a dent because the prices are all over the place! The little 12 month bar graph looks like we're using a little less than last year...our house is tiny too.

Mine was $104.49 for a one bedroom apartment. That does not include delivery charge.
Some might remember a post I made last month about a new meter being put in. The only thing I use is heating for gas everything else is electric. So I am right now in amazement since my temp is set at 63 degrees in morning, 60 degrees during the day and 55 degrees at night.
Not sure if I should call utility company since they might do something else to meter. not LOL.

Mine was ridiculous at $243 for heat, hot water, and stove. Then again, I live in an older house with hard wood floors, so maybe that's why it was so high.

My gas bill is $123 every month. We are on a budget amount for the year.

Tell me it isn't so. We are in the process of removing the carpeting from the first level of our home and are going to replace it with hardwood floors. Is my gas bill going to be higher because of it? We may also change the kids bedroms over to wood too because they both have allergy and asthma issues.

I've never had carpet in this house, so I couldn't give you a comparison for heating bills. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the wood floors and would never want to go to carpet, but yes I do think they are a bit "colder" than carpet. You can probably add insulation since you are installing yours (mine are original to the house, which was built in 1940).
Also, some area rugs would make a difference as well.

Our bill (that was paid Jan 4) was only $30 but we haven't gotten the new one yet. I've actually gotten to turn off the heat for at least 4-6 days this month already it's been kinda nice!

I believe ours was about $140 but not sure because we still have a credit. We pay $100 every month on our own unofficial budget. But I noticed that they charged us like $100 just to get us the gas. Ridiculous!

My gas bill is equalized throughout the year so I always pay $135. Last year they gave me money back at the end of the year, so I basically got a free month. I haven't found out yet about this year.
