I just finished filing our taxes and we are actually getting back more than I thought so it made me wonder what everyone was doing with theirs if they are getting one.
I have to get tires and brakes on my car first. after that we will be paying off both credit cards and starting our EFHolly

We are using some to goto Las Vegas in May, and saving the rest we did get a new medicine cabinet for the bath and also paint for the front room but we are saving over $2100 and that is after we pay for our trip so we are happy with that.

We are getting about $800 back and are lending it to our DD to help her find a new-to-her car. As she pays us back each payday, it'll go back into our EF.

We are getting 5300$ back. We split ours into third--Zac gets a third, I get a third, and we put a third into joint savings. Zac's portion is going into his money market, my portion will be going to open me a savings account! YAY!

I'm using my income tax refund to pay my property taxes and replace a fence that blew down in a recent storm. Easy come, easy go.

To our surprise, we are getting $2300 back. Usually we break even or owe a tiny bit...Most will go into EF, but we will use some to buy a new King size mattress/box spring. Our backs say it is time! :0)

i will be getting 4500 back, plan to pay off the visa and get the house painted.
11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Not sure how much we'll be getting back this year but the plan is to pay property taxes, pay off all of the credit cards, stockpile non-food items for the year, put away Christmas money for this year, and to have Christmas in February for the two of us since we didn't buy each other anything last year because we needed the money.

*has high hopes to get enough to finish remodeling the downstairs bath all I need is greenboard, new sink and toliet and some plumbing to put in a shower down here
tub and no shower. We have the new tub/& faucet and flooring. The rest I hope to put with savings and remodel the kitchen, buy a new stove to match the stainless steal appliances we have now and put up guttering on the house.

I think we'll break even or pay. We MIGHT get a small return. If we get a return, straight to the credit card. If we get the big rebate Bush is talking about, it will also probably go to CC.

We are getting more than we expected too but we paid back all CC debt so we are DEBT FREE again except for the mortgage. We also used part of it to buy a new TV and we still have some left

We are also getting state funds back too, we're still waiting on that though.
