    Talking Frugal February

I am still working on my New Year's resolution.

    1. I started my vacation fund.

    2. Cut down food bill by looking in our freezer. Wow. There's a lot of food in there.

    3. Paying down those nasty credit card.

    4. Trying to keep going with my emergency fund.

How is everyone else's New Year's resolution going?

    Today I

    Paid bills FIRST

Decided I could stretch the groceries and not spend that $150 on groceries I had planned.

Cooked for the first time this week(the stomach flu was in the house and i was too pooped to cook Monday and tuesday)

Paid extra on the credit card and on the car--staying on track there.

Put money into the savings EF--staying on track.

Added a few items to my stock pile.

Got the budget set for the month--you have to do even when you don't want to!

Found more stuff for my garage sale--who needs all this junk, not me!

Decided not to buy the canned food for the dogs this month--$150 sickining isn't it???A dog with allergies and on that is picky put me in the dog house!

I got a bit off track in January with my dh being in the hospital and I was depressed and it showed--phone bill was late and there was no reason for that. I am BACK and ready to frugal like a mad woman!
The math never lies, budget in INK!

Amount of Free items 2012 $391.33

    Debt #2 12/31/12 CC $901.88
    Debt #3 12/31/12 $3648.83

Madness, mayhem chaos...my work here is done!

I'm continuing with my Money Makeover posted on the Goals and Dream board. A few changes that aren't exactly in the frugal arena, but I'm thinking the time management activities will save me in the long run.

I amy have made my resolutions too early as DH and I have revamped the financial plan. I'm going to leave the ones I created here though as my dream ones. January was catch up from slow time at work. Feb. should get us moving foward.

~ Pay off an additional $15,000.00 morg. principal (only $600 pd)

~ Increase retierment savings $15,000.00 (Ha - I'm afraid to even look! but I did up my contributions)

~ Continue to stay debt free. (We've accumulated no new debt this year but I've yet to pay off those $800.00 worth of medical bills.)
