    Default local harvest

I am not sure if this has ever been posted or if anyone would be interested but thought I would 'throw' it out here just in case.

I was reading about local harvest/farmers markets and found a website
www.localharvest.com that lists farms where you can subscribe to getting a box of vegetables weekly or biweekly. I found a farm near me that also offers a worker program. You give 4 hours of your time working on the farm and get 20.00 off of your order. All produce is organic and with further reading discovered that some HMO's are offering a rebate to those who subscribe to this.

I thought maybe some of you might be interesting in checking out your area.

That is a great website! I have used it for a year or two and you can also sign up for their newsletters which tell you what's going on in your area or if a new farm has started, etc. Also a lot of great ideas and information on CSA's, what's growing when, etc.

Thanks! This is something I've really been interesting more about recently.

That's a really neat website. And while I really don't want to commit for a season, I did find some great info elsewhere on the site.
