    Question Need Ideas!

DD's birthday is on Halloween and she will be 3. I want to have a party for her but am not sure how to do it. Would it be a bad idea to have a costume party since it is on Halloween? Is that taking away from her birthday? I also don't know about having it at my house since I am not too fond of the mess afterwards. I will make the cake since I do cakes. I just am having a hard time putting both holidays together. I sort of want to take advantage of a halloween birthday and make it special. Any ideas out there?

It wouldn't be taking away from her Birthday..... If it where not her BD would you be inviting kids over and having cake and gifts ???? Why not !!! It should be fun for everyone and you can find so many decorations and ideas on the internet...... I say go for it !!!!

Is there a park nearby ???? If weather is fair there (& I'll bet it is in San Diego) have the party at the park.....

I'd bet a 3 year old would love a costume party!

It is a wonderful alternative to trick or treating, so I bet other parents would be thrilled to have their kids invited! The yard or the park is a great idea-or what about going with the theme and seeing if you can get a group rate for a hay ride then do cake at a picnic there. Lots of options this time of year--good luck!

I think a costume party is a wonderful idea~children that age love to dress up. And I don't think it would take away from it being her birthday.
Our youngest son was born on Christmas day~if its a year that he has a party where he invites friends(we don't always do this, some years its just a family party)we have it a few weeks before Christmas~but we always have a private family party on Christmas day~usually after dinner and we have cake and the whole bit~we tell him he is our Christmas angel!

what about md's i know it isn't fugal but that way you wouldn't have the mess at your house, and they can always wear costumes to that then give out little treat bags too.
