Default I did pretty good today....

My dh got paid yesterday and I had the budget all ready to go so this morning I went to the bank and got cash for...

Dh's allowance the next 2 weeks
My allowance for the next 2 weeks
    The Pet food allowance
    The grocery Allowance
    Gas for my car allowance
DDS gas money home from college allowance

    Total=$550.00

Gave dh his allowance for 2 weeks--$100(he buys his lunch and misc.)
Got mine for 2 weeks $50

Had $50 for gas-filled it up and came out with $20 left. Put in envelope marked GAS for future. I will get another $50 on the 15th so that too will be excess. I don't drive alot and park to save my gas $$$.

Bought 3 bags of dog food(holistic but great priced) and 1 honking big box of cat litter for $39. Put $11 in envelope to buy bird food and if needed, cat food. I have just enough left to do both and all pets are good for the rest of the month.

Sent dd $100 for gas home from college on spring break--luckily her car is small and gets good milage. She will probably need money to get back though.

Got $200 for groceries for the rest of the month. My cupboards are not bare but they are lean to say the least. I spent $55.13 on my hb&A stockpile and after coupons my total came to $40.85 so I did get $14.28 worth off stuff free but lets just say we have tons of TP, toothpaste, deo,and shampoo to get us through a looonnnggg while.

I put all change in the change jar and any left over dollar bills for the shopping today except the pets--it came to about $11 I think. This money is for a small family vacation to a waterpark in June for $600 for 3 people overnight with hotel, food, and gas and waterpark. We are going to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine Texas with my sister and her 2 girls and me and my 2 girls. Split gas, and hotel and all of change, misc money found in budget and garage sale in April or May.

    Now, the "other" stuff.

    Made these payments--

Gas, water, cell, both phone bills(we pay for dhs dds internet and phone) directv, insurance.

    On debt-

    House payment made
$400 on the car--I am ahead there and also I don't make minimums..
and additional $150 on the creditcard--2nd payment this month
    Paid off 2 medical bills--yeah
Made a payment on the last medical bill.

I am waiting for the electric bill, and Kirby and aol on the 15th as well as the remaining $75 of our allowances.

whatever is left(oh ha ha ha) will go into savings and gas money for the kids.

I think my budget is well balanced. Everything is paid on time. The debt is getting more than miniums, dr bills are almost gone, savings is slow but steady, and misc things that come up are covered.

I went to the grocery today with my $155 grocery money and my $11 pet money.

I did my shopping, bought what I needed for the pets, used my coupons and came out at $137 sooooo I still have grocery money for misc. purchases like milk and bread. I made sure the extra pet money got moved into the grocery money as I bought them at the same time.

Also, I got my double Sunday paper and the coupons are great this week!

my coupon savings have been about $26 this month so far.

Oh and when I balanced my checkbook I had extra--quite a bit as my spending is way down since we have gotten our allowances and I was able to pay the electric bill. I am very excited because that frees up extra on dhs next pay for savings.
