Default Barely got on the wagon and already fell off!

Mattie & Brittany are going on a ski trip with our church. The church had some ski clothes the kids could borrow. Brittany found some to wear. Mattie, unfortunately, is built like her momma and that ain't a good thing. But she did find a snow suit that would have sufficed. But no I couldn't let it go at that. I had to go get them new clothes. Well actually my mom bought Brittany's. I spent $248 and didn't even get a coat! Oy...when will I learn.

You WILL learn-LOL! Just dust yourself off and hop back on. We all fail and as long as we can still learn from those failures we are heading in the right direction.

I like it that you spent money on skiing clothes, because your new lifestyle is like learning how to ski: at first, it's very hard to find your balance, your turns are too big (or too small and you go downhill at crashing speed), you encounter a lot of unexpected trees, the others in you skiclass will either do much better or much worse, you may even take a terrific tumble and think 'why did I let myself be persuaded to think this would be fun'. But then, at the end of the week, you can actually make some nice turns, are not afraid of slippery spots or thin snow and are relaxed enough to look around you and enjoy the view.

    Have fun!

The trick here is to find your balance.

Where can you trim to find and make up the spending?

WHat can go to the wayside.

Can you plan 2 really cheap meals a week like ohhhhh tuna hot pot and beans an rice.

If you can "find" the money you will still be on the wagon money wise but not in the "spirt".

Hang around and you will find the strength to know when you can and when you can't do these things.

I for one say that if your dd NEEDED the clothes for the trip then you are 100% RIGHT to provide them.

Life is give and take, just find your balance.

Hope your dds have a great time!
