I had a simple oil change last summer and the guy did it wrong and my engine blew up. Had to get a new engine at the dealership and the mechanic had to pay for it.
Now I have a 9 year old car with a new engine
but man alive am I ever nervous about oil changes !!!!

The oil change places and my hubby all swear you should get an oil change every 3000 miles...my owner's manual says every 6000...so I go with the owner's manual, unless I can't get hubby to shut up.
