I bought 2 double Sunday Dallas papers. I always get a double for the coupons and decided to grab another.

No coupons in all 4 of the papers.

I might as well just walked to the potty and flushed my $4 down the drain.

Dang it!

Anyone know why there would be no coupons???

Oh, I'm sorry! When there is a holiday, there are no coupons for that week.

I was quite surprised too that there were no coupons. I didn't know about the holiday thing either.

We never have coupons in the Sunday paper if a holiday falls on that weekend...I have no idea why they do this, but they do and it is annoying.

I completely forgot that there wouldn't be ads or coupons in the paper because of the holiday and bought a paper anyway!!

we dont get coupons in our area, but that's good to know about the holiday/paper thing!

so you've got more paper than you know what to do with... so read one.

use the rest (and the one after you've read it) for all the frugal things you'd use newspaper for AND you'll have SO much that you won't need to buy a paper for those purposes for a while!

We could ALWAYS use newspaper here... but we don't buy it. So we wait for others to give us their old newspapers (if they remember).
so that doesnt happen often.

i almost wish I could have your papers! LoL

it's ok... we all do something like this every now & then.
it happens.

now, what can you DO with the papers?

call the newspaer and tell them, they may deliver a new paper to your door with the coupons.

never hurts to ask.

I almost went and bought a paper then remembered about the holiday and no coupons. It has only been recently that I knew about the no coupons on holiday weekends. Otherwise I would have been like you.

My dd has to have a current event everyday so I do use the paper for that.

I also use paper for the bird cage bottom.

I like to use newspaper when I paint the walls and baseboards.

I also take advantage of recycling. Why fill up TRASH bags you pay for when the city picks up paper and plastic AND you do something for future generations is my motto.

I go to pgbrandsaver and check to see when their coupons will be in the next Sunday paper.

When we used to get a daily paper, there were never any coupons in the holiday weekend papers.

I almost did this, but checked at coupon mom before I bought the paper. Annoying, because it is spring break for me and I could have read the paper leisurely but am counting pennies to carefully to purchase one without the coupons. Read my news off the internet...
