Default AWESOME deal on cereal today! I'm still in shock.

DS loves Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, specifically the one with vanilla clusters. It was getting harder to find at my local HEB stores and then one day, poof, it was gone. Not that I was too sad, I thought it was kind of expensive to buy at about $2.75 for 14.5 oz. I would try to buy when I had coupons, which is pretty rare. Anyhow, so today I was picking up a quick lunch for DH at a new HEB Plus and thought I would swing by the cereal isle. I had a couple of $1 off coupons for Honey Bunches cereals. They were HEB specific coupons. So I grabbed 4 boxes of the ones with almonds (DH eats that kind) and thought I was done when I stuck gold on the end cap. There were lots of boxes of the vanilla also with a stack of $1 off coupons. I grabbed a couple. I thought the all the boxes were $2.47. WRONG. The vanilla clusters were $1.26 PLUS $1 off for the coupon. They turned out to be $.26 a box for 14.5 oz. Let's just say that people were giving me lots of strange looks as I loaded up my little shopping cart, paid, went to the car and came back for more. I think I picked up about 30 boxes of cereal. They are dated to the end of November. I have already given some away to family. I still can't believe it. We'll be eating on this stash for a while and I still have more to give to family if they want it. I wish I could find deals like that more often.

Great job! I stocked up on cereal a couple weeks back when Safeway had a $5 for 5 boxes sales and I had coupons making most of them free. Plus, there was a catalina deal for Kellogg's so i stocked up on those the next week. I just gave some to my SIL and I still have a ton, plus a raincheck to get 20 more

That is such a fantastic deal! I do not blame you for going back in for more. I would've done the same thing.

Awesome! I wish I could find another deal like that around here. Last Sept I loaded up on Post cereal at Kmart for .19 a box. Needless to say, we haven't bought cereal in a long time, and won't need to still for quite some time.

That is excellent!! I sure wish Canada would have deals like that.

On a rare occasion, Liquidation worlds might have, however the one near us burnt down, so there are none that isn't a 20 minute drive on the highway, I won't make that special trip.

Great deal!!! I love it when I can get name brand cereal for next to nothing!!! We go through a lot of Kellogg's Raisen Bran, so I stock up when it's on sale and use coupons.
