Default What color should I paint our new "house"?

What color should I paint our new walls?
It will be a fairly small space so I need to open it up as much as I can.

I was thinking of doing the main room (our bedroom/livingroom) off white and then rag rolling one wall with a bright color. What color?

I don't know what to do with Tyler's walls yet. Anyone have any ideas for inexpensive wall treatments for a kids room?

If rag rolling, I would try two colors that are similar.... White and beige, two blues ect....
In my ds's room, we painted it dark blue and splattered it with glow in the dark paint and put glow in the dark stars and planets..... He has lots of star wars stuff and space ships hanging from the ceiling.... I got an R2D2 standing cooler (free at work) I use for a toy box..... the space ships and Aliens I find at yard sales all of the time...... He has LOTS of Aliens !!!

I would keep it a light color, if you want to rag or sponge a wall, like Lori said, keep them close, maybe a tone on tone-depends on what color your furniture is also. I recently saw a living room with a couch that had all light green leaves on a beige background, all the walls were done in beige, with one wall having a wash of the green ragged over it. It was nice.

MY sil has a small kitchen and when she painted the ceiling the same color as the walls it really opened up the room.
