Doesn't hurt to ask!!!
I have been thinking about the post recently where it was mentioned that coupons really stink lately. So, I took it upon myself to e-mail 5 companies from which I typically buy their products and I told them that I like their product, but that with the grocery prices being so high, could they send me some coupons? Guess what? They all agreed to do so! Got my first envelope from Dannon today and I got over 7 dollars worth of really good coupons for Activia yogurt (which I would buy whether it was on sale or not since I swear by it.)
Does anyone else do this on a regular/semi-regular basis?Bethany

I haven't but I will now. I am trying to figure out who to send a letter to. I like the Activia yogurt too, maybe I'll start with that company for my first letter

I have done quite a bit of this in the past few months.
Here are some good ones
http://qa.missionmenus.com/qualityin...contactus.html
Check on comments, questions - fill it out and request coupons. They will send coups for free tortillas
http://www.bays.com/contact/
Fill out form and request coupons. They will tell you they don't offer coupons BUT will ship via UPS a box w/ about a dozen english muffins!
http://www.buddig.com/customer-service.aspx
I filled this out, requested coupons and was sent 3 coups for free lunch meat!

I've done Bay's before and got the muffins. They were so awesome and kept very well! I swear those things stayed soft and free of mold forever.

I emailed a company the other day because when I went to the grocery store I noticed their product had increased four dollars! (Fresh ravioli). I could not believe it and asked them why that particular store had such a huge increase. The other store i go to has not raised their price on that item. They emailed me back and offered me coupons and explained that they can't dictate the price to their retailers and that their suggested retail price is still $5.99. So the store itself decided to raise it's price on that item.

I emailed Glade, Duncan Hines, Dole, Domino Sugar, Bar S, McCains, Clairol, and Wylers the other night. I actually had a complain with Glade (got a candle that was a dud-wouldn't stay lit), but the others I complimented specific products. I'll let you all know how I fare.

I did this about a year ago with several companies whose products we used regularly - I happened to save the list, so here it is if anyone's interested in trying it too!
The following companies sent me a free product coupon for emailing them a compliment:
Skintimate, Arm & Hammer, Idahoan, Star-Kist, Wishbone, Oust
-Schick – emailed a complaint about Intuition razor – they sent a free product coupon
-Heinz – requested ketchup coupons - they sent me several good for fifty cents off
-Thomas English Muffins – emailed a compliment, requested to be added to mailing list – they sent me some good $ off coupons
-Old El Paso – emailed a compliment on taco kit,and complaint on change made to enchilada kit - received free coupon
-Mrs. T's Pierogies – emailed compliment – received some $ off coupons
-Slim-Fast - emailed compliment, received some $1 off coupons
HTH someone!
