Fast Food costs

I don't eat fast food often, but did go through the Arby's drive through yesterday.

Please be sure to know how much your food is going to cost!

I ordered a 3.19 sandwich and fries for 1.29. I was told my total was over $5. I double checked the prices, then drove up to pay. I was told $5.50. I asked how a 3.19 sandwixh and 1.29 fries added up to over $5. The sandwich was ringing up 3.99. I told the worker that it was 3.19 on the board and he fixed it without question.

I usually order a combo meal, but I already had a drink yesterday. And only a $5 dollar bill in my wallet!

So, just like any thing you purchase, it PAYS to know your prices.

I try to remember to double check receipts and check your bag to make sure you go everything.

I'm glad you caught that. Who knows how many people would not have questioned that.

that's a very good point!

i've been to a drive thru before where they said "we're changing our prices, so you'll pay the current price, not what's posted on the board."
with no notice or bulletin or anything stating they're updating their prices... which is fine... but because the board showed the "old" prices, that's what I expected to pay, and needless to say i drove away because the manager was arguing with me!

but the prices of everything are going up.
and fast food is one of them!
there are fewer "dollar menu" items than there were this time last year at many places.
things are going up by as much as 50 cents w/out notice and ppl aren't complaining.

i dont frequent fast food that often, but the few times i do - it's usually for my family (since there's nothing for me to have), and i do notice prices going up... sneaking up, and fast!

I haven't had fast food in a long time. I do like the bacon cheeseburgers at Wendy's. When we did eat it I was always too busy checking to make sure all the food I ordered was in the bags. Nothing like getting home to find that dd's fish fillet isn't in the bag. I just never thought to check the receipts there. I will if I go now.

the only good fast food deal ive found lately is little ceasers pizza 14" large i topping for $5 everyday. the same at the other places would be $10 +.
