That Darn MURPHY!
I go to upload pics from my camera today. I have my 2 girls birthday on it. The card is corrupt!!! Darn thing...sigh.
I need the camera for my business so I'm going to have research and get a decent, but cheap one I guess. The camera is just too old to warrant getting a specific card for it. I was planning to replace it in a few months.
Just when things are going so good..lol

That's a bummer! You might first try re-formatting your camera card (there's probably an option on your camera) -- it will definitely erase anything on there, but if it is reading as corrupt, it can help you salvage the card.

Nope, no can do. Tried. The card doesn't have a corrupt file, it's apparently "damaged". I'll see what it's worth, may just get the card adn hope for the best. I have another smaller card here somewhere, only 16 mb but it would get me through until I get the one I want.

Well, I had to get bread last night, and dh said to look to see how much cards were. So I looked, I got one for $10!!!! It is double the size i had. When I bought it I paid almost $80 and it was GENERIC off of ebay, as the new ones here were well over $100!!
I'm relieved. I also found out that it is one of the most common memory cards for cameras so I may be able to use it in the new camera when I get it. I'm saving for it!! WOOHOO!
]That is a relief. It's $10 that I hadn't intended on, but it's better than having to get a new camera when I'm not ready to yet.

I am sorry that happened with your girls' birthday pictures. It happened to us once and we lost all of our Christmas pictures.
Now with whatever camera we use I am constantly getting the pics over to the computer before we have too many on there as I am always scared we might lose them.

The thing is that was the only pics i had in it. I dump the card ona regular basis. At least it wasn't a 1st birthday or something monumental. But STILL..lol
I'm glad a $10 fix for the camera, I'll take small blessings everyday..lol
