Default GDA at Walmarts this week

I was looking at their sales ad online. They have the 40 oz Biscuit pancake and baking mix for $1. I normally see this at my stores for at least $1.80. We love pancakes and biscuits here so I want to stock up.

Could this be stored in the freezer if I buy more than I can use in a reasonable time?

i would not freeze this. can you buy enough for 3 months?
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I wasn't sure if it could be frozen. I'll just buy enough to last us through the expiration dates.

I think i'll get some to donate to the food pantry also.

I don't see why it couldn't be frozen. It's just flour, baking powder salt, and oils. I would worry about keeping it too long and the baking powder not working anymore. But you could also add more baking powder if that happens.

I'd worry more about the oils going rancid if kept in the cupboard too long. To be safe, I would keep it in the freezer.

I agree there's no reason why Bisquick should not be frozen. It is one of the recommended things to do for longer storage, though I would vacuum seal it if possible to help prevent freezer odors from being absorbed. Same goes for any flour product.

I freeze mine when I get a good deal. I also freeze flour and sugar. I've never had a problem

The boxes were 20 oz. and my Wal Mart doesn't carry them, only the 40 oz. Very misleading on their part.
