Default we finally broke down and....

went freezer shopping. With prices of everything going up I really wanted to be able to stock up on foods when I get a deal. Also being able to have room for the extra foods I make and freeze would be great. So, we had seen that Sears was having a sale and they had no interest no payments for 12 months for any appliance over 399. So we went there this afternoon, and they had a lot of their floor model appliances on clearance (stoves, frig's, freezers, dishwashers, washer, dryers, etc). We found a 13.7 cf kenmore upright freezer with frost free for $279. We had priced this size and with frost free and the cheapest we had found was a little under $400. So, we bought it. Still has the regular manufacturer's warranty. We saved $120. Though we didn't didn't get the no payments/no interest we won't pay much in interest because we'll have it paid off in a couple months. The worst part was dh and ds9 had to strap it to the trailer in the pouring rain - they were drenched!!!

I can't wait to start putting stuff in there!!!!

Congratulations on your new purchase. I'm envious...an upright and frost-free! Much easier to store and find stuff.

Congrats! I bought one recently and it's a relief knowing we have extra food in the freezer.

Hmmm...That sounds like a great deal.
Everytime me and dh go to Sears we always stop and look at those freezers. I'm thinking with food prices rising as they are the freezer might be a great investment especially for meats.

Enjoy your new freezer! You have me reconsidering purchasing one.

Sounds like you got a good buy! I am also going to be in the market for an additional freezer and I am also opting to go with an upright this time around. My chest freezer is nice, but it's horrible getting stuff out of it.

Congratulations! Please let us know how you like it, I think our next one will be an upright.

Chest freezers are so hard to organize and find things later, seems like i'm always digging in it & still can't find what I was after.

That was a really good price you paid for it, now have fun filling it up!

That is a great deal!! and seeing that a freezer is tucked away somehere, it doesn't matter if it's a floor model.

    Great price! for sure!

Today I went shopping for new appliances and the bill came to just about $10,000. You read it right. Ten Thousand Dollars!

    I am rethinking the remodel.

I'd love to have a new freezer that is bigger. MIne is old and I'm afraid one day it is going to give up the ghost and die on me.
