Default What do you pay for a box of cereal?

My rule of thumb is never pay more than two dollars for a box of cereal. However, lately I've been combining coupons, sales, rebates for cheaper. What do you all pay???

Mine comes in at $1.89 a box, but I have been shopping at SAL regularly the past few weeks and that is the standard price on all of their cold cereals.

Personally, I never pay more than $1 for name brand cereal. Love those coupons!

I wait for my local store's BOGO and then only buy if I have coupons (they will take one for the item I pay for and for the free one). 2 weeks ago I bought 8 boxes of cereal, it was 1.59 for TWO boxes after the coupons. I try to make a hot breakfast a few times a week to cut our milk usage and our cereal consumption.

The best I can do lately is $1.50 a box for name brand cereal. I have a stockplie that should last several months.

I wait until it's on sale 3/$5.00 & then stockup, less the $1. off 3 coupons I generally have it averages out to $1.33 a box.

My price point is $2 a box. I can usually get it for cheaper w/ sales and coupons. However, good cereal coupons have been hard to come by lately.

Thanks to the deals Weis has every so often (like buy 4 boxes, get $6 back at checkout), I can get decent cereal (as in shredded wheat, not froot loops), for $1/box so now I won't pay more than that.

Glad if I get it for under two bucks. I love when they have those Malt O Meal deals. Not sure the ounces, but the big bags on sale.

We don't eat cold cereal unless we get a free sample, or a coupon that makes it less than $1.50 a box. No one here is really a fan of highly sweetened cereals. Actually I have 8 mini sample boxes in the kitchen right now that haven't been touched, guess DH and I need to chomp down on them before they have to be tossed. We really only like plain (not frosted)cornflakes, puffed rice and shredded wheat.

I do buy old-fashioned oatmeal and grits, big fans of hot cereal.

I have only been buying store brand Rice Krispies lately and it's about $1.80 at Aldi. My regular store brand went up to $1.99.

My limit is $1.50 per box and that is with sales/coupons. Gone are the days when I could get cereal for less than $1/box.
