Stuffing Loaf
Don't know if this counts as a recipe
but I have been saving up soup scraps for ages and recently started another bag called stuffing scraps. In here go things that can actually be eaten, like stale bread, crusts I cut off my sons sandwiches etc, and then if I have a few odds of cheese at the end of the block, or a few mushrooms I picked from the yard (even stalks from regular mushrooms are good, any small pieces of cold leftover meat (anything works, bacon, roast, mince etc), other veges like zuchini, onion, that I cut too much of too. (I do precut anything I add to save time later
)
Then when you have enough I just defrost in a bowl, add some water and scrunch with my hands, seasoning with herbs and salt and pepper etc. Roll into a log and cook when I am doing roast chicken or something, bulks out the meal and people always rave about my stuffing. You could add eggs or milk rather than water.
The other day though, I had too much and just did a stuffing mix cooked in a loaf tin and it went down a treat, no one even blinked an eye lid. Sooo yummy with gravy.

Oh that sounds delicious! My question: do you just put your scraps into a freezer bag and put them away? How long do they hold? I'm still new to this.

In response to question I might use them about once or twice a month at most when I have collected enough? They seem to hold okay, I have not had any problems.
