Stromboli - quick and easy - my way
Okay guys on my mission to stay at home and not spend a house payment on food, I cooked all last weekend. We actually bought cold cuts for lunch on friday, instead of a quick run through a mickey d's.
By Sunday no one was touching the cold cuts any more and it was still good.
So I open one of my pillsbury pizza crusts and layed it on a lightly floured surface. I started to put thin layers of the cold cuts on, leaving an inch around the edge. I had turkey, ham and salami. After this is I spread an ever so thin of dion mustard and mayo mix and then finished with sliced of cheese and sprinkle of pharm cheese. starting at the top I rolled down like a jelly roll (like rolling a pinwheel wrap) When finished I tucked the ends and slid onto a greased cookie sheet ( I use parchment paper for less mess)slice three little air holes in top for steam to escape. I also sprayed top with pam and sprinkled poppy seeds. It was very pretty.
baked at 350 for 35 minutes..
When you take it out it must cool...about 15 minutes...it makes the cheese get firmer.
We have had these twice, loved it cause it used up the leftovers and they were easy.
I didn't know they were called stromboli till I researched to see if I could find what I had made after I made it.. and found that name. Reading told me that some put sauce in it, and veggies. I guess it does leave all kinds of options..
Well just wanted to share...

Sounds yummy. I found a recipe on allrecipes.com awhile back that sounded so BORING. It was a Ragu recipe and called for a pillsburry pizza crust, a jar of Ragu, and some mozzarella. I've never tried it and had every intention of jazzing it up if I ever did lol. But your version sounds so much better, especially with the dijon. I LOVE DIJON
Thanks for the idea
