post your spam recipes
in stead of hijacking another thread:
dice into a small dice, brown it in a frying pan, drain, serve as bacon sprinkles on a salad, serve with eggs, make a nice spam-L-T
sandwich with mayo and pepper, make eggs benedict, ...
the trick with spam is to cook like bacon.
anyone have any good recipes? i have 20 cans of spam to use.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

We have a friend and he and his daughter love spam. Mostly they fry it up and have sandwiches but they also like to cube it and put it on skewers alternating with pineapple chunks and grill them.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

My absolute favorite way to prepare it is to fry it up and stuff into a taco shell (freshly fried) with a drizzle of maple syrup. Luckily, I try to never buy it, because I could eat this everyday.

Spam salad for sandwiches: dice your Spam into fine cubes, add chopped onion, pickle relish and mayo to taste. Spread on white bread.
I can't eat it any more but I used to love it as a kid.

20 cans? I could eat that much and still not put a dent in hubby's stockpile!

How about spam and rice....I fixed this one for my kids until they got so tired of seeing it that they threatened to mutiny. Take a can of spam and cut it up in cubes. Can add green peppers and/or onions if you want and fry it, then stir in some cooked rice and a can of cream of mushroom soup and cook until heated. This is pretty flexible -- you can substitute potatoes or pasta for the rice, add other types of veggies, use different types of soup to flavor it.
I have also used Spam in fried rice. Spam and eggs makes a good breakfast. Spam salad....like ham salad except using ground or chopped Spam. Glaze and bake like a ham. Barbecue Spam sandwiches.
Hubby's favorite is Spam musubi:

Sorry I don't have any recipes but your title caught my eye. whenever I think of spam I think of that guy Andrew Zimmerman who has a show called Bizarre foods who eats anything, brains,eyes, nether regions...and for some reason he can't get past the taste of Spam and hates it.
I haven't had it in a long time & read that it is very popular in Hawaii.
The Spam website is full of ideas and their Sweet and Sour Spam sounds pretty tasty.~*Darlene*~

I don't eat Spam or wheat any longer but I did drool a little bit reading here. I used to love frying spam, onion and eggs together and putting it in a pita with a slice of cheese. MMMMMMMM

I have no idea if this would work, but how about slicing it thin, put in the dehydrator and make Spam jerky?
