Help - left over Pork Steak pieces
I have three nice size pieces of pork steak leftover. I want to put them into some sort of casserole or soup. I have put beef pieces in the crock pot with some boulion to tenderize/shred the pieces. I just dont know what to do with pork.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.Dawn

you can crock pot them with bbq sauce
slice thin and top a salad
stir fry
I would think anything you do with beef could be done with the pork. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

cut them up into trimmed cubes. (edit: i assume the pork is cooked)
cut up potatoes. in a non stick skillet, layer of olive oil and a half stick of butter. fry the potatoes, turning occasionally, and steaming them with the lid on at the same time. i call it steam/frying. lawrys season salt.
remove the potatoes from the pan and get rid of the grease. put the potatoes and pork back into the pan.
make the glaze
1/2 cup your choice of preserve (i like cherry) and 1/4 -1/2 cup yellow mustard. mix together.
toss the potatoes/ pork mixture with the glaze. heat through and serve.11% gross to retirement

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I save the bits of leftover meat in a container in the freezer. I diced it up as I am adding it in. When the container is full, it becomes meat for a soup or a casserole or stir fried rice. I label them using painters tape and a sharpie.
When I am putting it on the calendar (in the computer), I note that it is a chic, beef, or pork casserole. It also gets a "*" after it to denote a special note. In the body of calendar entry, I note that it is a partial bucket. If we get close to when we are supposed to have that meal and the bucket isn't full, it gets swapped out with something further on down the menu plan.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

Turn them into pieces for pork fried rice.
I use basmati rice for my pork fried rice. Chop onions, carrots and celery into stir-fry pieces and then fry an egg like an omlette. Sautee the veggies until tender, add the rice, chop up the egg and add that too. Afterwards, heat until done and serve.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!
