    Default planned overs ( leftover that are predetermined for use)

    Do you have a planned overs?

    Example of a series of planned overs from our menu this week

    Sunday was homemade pizza

    Monday Stuffed Green peppers
    Used the leftover cooked sausage from the pizza party and the leftover homemade pizza sauce
    Added to this meal I cooked the rice and prepared the peppers for stuffing.

    Mixed the leftover sausage, some of the rice, pizza sauce, and some cheese. Stuffed that mixture into the peppers topped with more cheese

    Tuesday Fried rice
    Use Leftover rice from yesterday and leftover chopped Hamfrom the pizza party
    Add and egg and some mixed veggies

    Thus ends my planned over series for this week

    Do you have any planned over series?

    When I make a white sauce or biscuits and gravy, I use the leftovers as "cream of" soup for a casserole.

    Leftover chicken breasts or diced and put in a container in the freezer. That becomes meat for a casserole or soup later on. I do that with beef bits also.

    Sometimes, the week cascades like yours. Usually not though. My guys will revolt if they eat the same things too many times in a row. But, if I freeze stuff and pull it out later, they are fine with it.

    -Leftovers from baked chicken legs become soup/sandwiches;
    -A 2lbs bag of dry beans cooked all at once gives about 16 cups of cooked beans that I freeze in 2-cup baggies. First chili, then soup, -dips, burritos, etc;
    -Any leftover beef beomes soup/stew material.
    -Leftover rice has many uses.
    -Even keeping crusts from my kid's toast in the freezer to grind into breadcrumbs later...
