Default Let's all post our ideas on how to use up all that leftover holiday Ham!

Hi Ladies,
I have a 12 pound ham cooking in the oven right now and I know we will have leftovers. I thought that many of you might be doing the same so I thought this would be a fun and frugal thread.

~ham bone used to make soup
~ham salad
~scalloped potatoes and ham
~ham and potato chowder
~ham and cheese rolls
~ham loaf
~ham sandwiches
~ham chunk is the oriental salad made with cabbage and ramen
~ham fried rice

Your turn.....

I like Ham Spread...... I just chop ham in my handy dandy food chopper and add what ever... Diced onion, sweet pickle relish, mayo, a dab of mustard, and eat !!!!!!!!! Yummy !

Here is one I found.......

Leftover Ham And Noodles

1 slice ham
ground black pepper to taste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 quarts water
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 (16 ounce) package wide egg noodles

1 In a medium saucepan, combine ham, black pepper, garlic, and 1 1/2 quarts water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
2 Add onion and celery; continuing cooking until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
3 Add noodles, and cook until al dente. Serve hot.

My favorite ham recipe:
http://brunch.allrecipes.com/AZ/ChsyHmHshbrwnCssrl.asp

It's a hash brown casserole. We love it for supper with green beans and biscuits. I add onions, mushrooms, and chili peppers to the original recipe.

I can't wait to make this in a few days... I've got a lot of ham left! We'll eat the rest in sandwiches.

Ham and Green Beans with Potatoes. All mixed in one dish. Can't beat it. All you have to do is cut the ham in cubes, throw in a can or two of green beans and cube up some potatoes. Put it in the crock pot and cook it all afternoon so you have it ready for supper.
