Freezing leftovers question
I was wondering if there is any special...procedures...for freezing leftovers. With thanks giving comming up I know we will have a ton. I was thinking maybe "Tv dinner"style freezing turkey w/ gravy, mashed potatoes, corn on a plate... a solo type microwaveable dinner plate... is it possible or is it something i should find another way to do? I was thinking of maybe using that new cling wrap that they advertise.

Nope nothing special really Missy. Your idea of tv dinners I do all the time especially with turkey dinners. Hubby will only eat it once and it is one of my favorites. I do it all the time. One thing I have learned is to put a little gravy on your potatoes and stuffing besides the turkey. Otherwise they dry out.
Super easy dinner when you don't have a lot of time or with the baby coming.

I was thinking i could freeze a pat of butter to the potatoes, but I like the gravy idea better.
What kind of plates do you freeze on? I am thinkiing styrofoam plates would be bad because they'd melt in the microwave... what about Solo or heavy paper plates?~~ Missy ~~

Missy I use the divided plates from Tupperware of Rubbermaid.

I also have plastic 'tv' dinner type containers. I think a heavy weight paper plate would work fine.
You could even freeze each thing separately, like you did your cookie dough the other day. Then put them in plastic zip bags. Just make sure everything is a flat as you can get it, like the mashed potatoes so they thaw faster.~~ Dee ~~
