    Default chicken question

    How long can cooked chicken be left out on the counter not refrigerated and still be ok to eat?

    I left leftover chicken from dinner on the counter for a couple of hours and wasn't sure if it's still good and am too "chicken" HA to eat it.

    sara, if it was just a couple of hours, like 2 hours, it would still be ok, particularly if it is chicken you cooked yourself.

    I think it will be fine this time of year Sara....if were summer time and in the 100's I'd be afraid of it but as it is I'd eat it.
