Need healthy, frugal school lunch ideas
My first kiddo will be going to kindergarten in a month and a half
, and he wants to take his lunch. I'm sure it will be much cheaper. However, what healthy and frugal ideas can you all come up with and give me for packing in his lunches? Kid-friendly foods.
Mom to two great kids!

My boys eat everything, so these ideas may not be much of a help. Here you go!
Cheese, meat and crackers--your own version of Lunchables
Little containers of homemade salad
fruit with yogurt as dip
granola over yogurt
pita bread stuffed with the usual sandwich fillings--neater to eat than regular bread
carrot, celery, broccoli, etc. with ranch dip

Hi Natasha, I hope he loves kindergarten!

I don't have kids but I have lots of friends with kids that we entertain in our home often. I see what they eat.
Anything with a dip! Try carrot sticks with ranch dip or salsa, graham crackers or mini cereal squares with yogurt dip, celery with peanut butter, rasins, sandwiches cut in quarters, cheese, tuna salad or peanut butter with crackers, make a batch of mini muffins and homeade cookies in a smaller size.
